Mystery Circuit Guesser

This activity is best done AFTER you have developed a reasonable understanding of simple electric circuits and you can reliably:

  1. Draw a correct circuit diagram from a real circuit - build a real circuit from a diagram

  2. Identify difference between light bulbs wired in series and parallel.

What to do:

  1. Choose your level (easy, hard, diabolical) and which circuit number in that set.

  2. Play with the switches and guess the hidden circuit.

  3. Sketch your guessed circuit diagram (label the switches 1, 2, etc and the bulbs A, B, etc). Remember to title your diagram with the level and number you were working on)

  4. Build you guessed circuit using the pHet circuit builder

  5. If your built circuit behaves exactly the same, then you have guessed correctly!
